Southridge Technology
Privacy Policy for Remote Support Portal
This policy explains how information is handled when clients use the Remote Support Portal to begin a remote IT support session.
Last updated: July 14, 2026
1. Purpose of the Remote Support Portal
The Remote Support Portal is designed to help clients connect with an authorized Southridge Technology support technician. The portal may allow a client to enter their name and a nine-digit support key provided by a technician.
2. Information Entered on the Portal
When the direct support form is used, the information entered into the form is submitted directly to GoTo FastSupport through GoTo’s remote support service endpoint. The website does not collect, process, retain, log, or store support keys, passwords, remote session information, or form submissions.
Clients should only enter a support key when they are actively working with an authorized Southridge Technology technician.
3. Third-Party Remote Support Provider
Southridge Technology uses FastSupport, a third-party remote support service provided by GoTo, to facilitate remote support sessions. Information entered into the GoTo FastSupport experience may be handled by GoTo according to GoTo’s own privacy, security, and service terms.
Southridge Technology does not control GoTo’s systems, data handling practices, or software download process. Clients should review GoTo’s applicable privacy policy and terms for more information.
4. No Storage of Support Keys or Session Data
The Remote Support Portal does not store:
- Support keys
- Passwords
- Remote access credentials
- Remote session recordings
- Remote session logs
- Files downloaded through GoTo FastSupport
- Information submitted through the direct FastSupport form
5. Security and Client Responsibility
Clients should only begin a remote support session after confirming they are working with an authorized Southridge Technology technician. Clients should never accept an unexpected remote access request or provide a support key to an unknown person.
Clients can end a remote support session at any time by closing the remote support application or session window.
6. Website Security
The Remote Support Portal should be accessed over HTTPS. HTTPS helps protect information in transit between the client’s browser and the website. The remote support session handoff is completed through GoTo’s secure FastSupport service.
7. Cookies and Analytics
This page and companion theme do not add cookies, analytics tracking, advertising pixels, or marketing trackers by themselves. If the website uses additional plugins, analytics tools, security tools, or hosting features, those services may collect information according to their own privacy policies and configuration.
8. Contact Forms
This support portal does not include a contact form by default. If a contact form is added later, Southridge Technology should enable appropriate spam protection and publish any additional privacy disclosures required for that form.
9. Unsolicited Technical Support Calls
Southridge Technology is not affiliated with unsolicited technical support callers. Clients should not begin a remote access session in response to an unexpected phone call, email, pop-up, or message claiming that their device is infected or compromised.
10. Contact
Questions about this Privacy Policy or the Remote Support Portal may be directed to Southridge Technology through the company’s normal support or administrative contact channels.
11. Changes to This Policy
Southridge Technology may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version should be posted with a new “Last updated” date.
